Three Must-dos For an Effective Website

website

Make Your First Impact Concise.

We all have a tendency to want to tell everyone everything we do.  But here’s a hint.  Make your first impact short, to the point, and powerful.  Consider focusing on no more than three strong elements of your practice or mission.  For example, Naturopathic Economics focuses on Education, Information and Resources.

Provide a Simple Call to Action.

Your home-page should allow your patients to take immediate steps to connect with you.  Do you have a newsletter or email list they can subscribe to for naturopathic updates or can they inquire about a product?  Do you provide a way to schedule an appointment online, or ask a medical question?  Use any of these techniques to grab the reader to take the next step.

Integrate Social Media.

Make sure you have “share” buttons on content rich pages.  When you upload a great article you’ve written on your webpage, or if you find another article of interest to your patients, post on your Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Linkedin, or whatever other social media you use.  Sharing information from others is also a great way to stay in touch with your patients without hours spent creating content and lets patients know you are in touch with current trends.
